/GUIDELINES FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
Before submitting your abstract(s), please carefully read the following information and instructions. If you have any questions, contact Dr. Mahbub H. Siddiqee (msiddiqee@bracu.ac.bd) for assistance.
Abstract Guidelines:
- The abstract should be concise and factual (maximum length 300 wordsexcluding the title, authors’ names and affiliations, keywords and acknowledgment).
- The abstract must have a structured format, i.e., Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusion.
- Title should be concise and informative, within 20 to 25 words.
- If possible, try to avoid abbreviations and formulae in your abstract.
- The title of the abstract will be followed by authors names and affiliation.
- Please clearly mention the given name(s) and family name(s) of each author and make sure that all names are accurately spelled. Presenting author’s name should be underlined and the corresponding author’s name should have an asterisk.
- Write down background and objectives of the study in introduction in 2-3 sentences.
- Briefly mention the methods employed for the study.
- Write down the findings of the study concisely.
- Draw a conclusion by exploring the significance of the result, do not repeat the result
- Do not cite references in the abstract.
- Mention keywords and acknowledgment (if any) after the conclusion.
Bangladesh society of Microbiologists (BSM) was established in 1976 with a view to promote microbiology education and research in Bangladesh. The goals and objectives of the society are to bring together the microbiologists working in different fields and share their experiences and ideas so that they can contribute to the development of this nation in a more coherent and organized manner.
